so i accidentally gave a villager a second floor in their vaca home that i did not wanna give them. i left it empty bc i really have nothing to do with it. is there any way to remove a second floor once given to a villager?

Just talk to Niko at the port, and select the villager you want to visit, when you get to their dream home, talk to them and then ask them that you want to remodel their home and there should be an option to get rid of the 2nd floor.

im trying that but if i talk to goldie it just asks me if im done w the remodel and niko asks if i wanna change my mind on remodelling. i have no idea where that option would be >.<

I'm trying to do that too. I've tried talking to the villager while remodeling, moving their home location and no such option is given. I think you just can't do it....

Maybe try the Roommate option, like go to another villager's home and then ask them about roomates and see if you can find Goldie. It should help remove the home.

Have you tried moving the house to a different plot if that's an option? I haven't tried that... but maybe when moving they'll let you choose the rooms again.
