Hi Itsjustmel! Welcome to TBT!
Lots of chatting, trading and visiting other people's islands! There are New Horizons and New Leaf specific sections on the website, where you can discuss your opinions about the game, trade in-game goods and materials, and visit other peoples islands. Are you playing New Horizons?
Some of the places I like to hang out are:
Animal Crossing: New Horizons forum - for discussing the game. You can also start an island journal, where you share your island progress. There's also a screenshot thread, to share in game pictures.
Nook's Cranny - for trading in-game!
The Museum - If you're an artist, you can share your art here, but otherwise I like to just look at other peoples art! There's also a Museum Shop, where you can commission art.
Brewer's Cafe is a good place to discuss anything not game related.
I think a good place to start is browsing the NH section or the general AC discussion, depending on what you play of course.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I'd love to know more about what Animal Crossing you're playing!

You can get to your profile by clicking on your profile pic/name at the top of the screen (or on this thread), and then when the tab comes up, click on your name again. Then you'll be at your profile!
To change your signature, click your profile picture at the top of the screen, and in the tab that pops up, there is a button that says 'Signature'.
