Hi,

My name is Jo, and I am playing Animal Crossing New Leaf with my daughter, she is 8! We have a town called Archers. My husband says we are both obsessed with the game and to be honest, thats very true. We have just opened Brewsters cafe, and Shampoodles is preparing to open. We have unlocked the dream suite, club lol and we are spending bells at the T & T to see it change to the TIY. Oh we have Leif and Kicks and a second floor on the museum. :) The characters keep telling us both we are playing too much. Its school holidays here in Sydney Australia, and the finish on Monday, so I figure everyone should relax and hopefully some of our grass will grow back < ouch >when school goes back and my daughter plays with the ds on saturday mornings only.

We are both new to Animal Crossing, and I have to say (me whose been gaming on and off for centuries), its an amazing game and concept and I really love it. I feel a little bummed that I had no idea how to start the game properly ie, the way you answer determines what your character looks like and how to choose the map of your town. I found all that out after! And we had some hiccups starting out. My daughter pulled up every single flower in the place and shook all the trees and got all the fruit and then sold the lot for bells. Because she didn't have any money (mummy face palms), oh and sold every single fossil etc. If it wasn't nailed down, she sold it. That was interesting. My first trips to the island were all about me filling the boat with flowers to plant them all over the place and now we have heaps and heaps of bugs and butterflies. I have had to had to put a no cutting down trees rule as well. I have plans...bwhahahahaha.

But my daughter and I have decided to stick with what we got when we got off the train and have build it up from there. I have had a crack at designing some clothes (in real life I was a designer and have a degree in fashion and textile design) and will share them in the proper thread. :)

Okay, that's us. Jo and Cai (thats pronounced "Si").

If anyone would be up for a trade for fruit? We need cherries and peaches, we have apples and oranges. we would only need two of each, please let me know!

Hi to everyone and thanks for having us here.

Jo

:)
