So I haven't played AC:CF until about.. say 3 months ago and yesterday was my first day of getting back on. My Wii was also unplugged during those months (somewhere in storage) and thought to get rid of the summer blahs I'd play again. Weeeelll, I got on yesterday and I got a letter from Nintendo about Tax Day and got 1k bells, but that was MONTHS ago. I just ignored that oddness and continued my day of crushing cockroaches etc. etc.

I get on today and then I get ANOTHER thing, the Mayor's Flag, from Wendel the walrus. I saw Wendel yesterday so I just thought he may be giving me something since I didn't talk to him but then I realize that the Mayor's flag was something of an event by Nintendo...

So at this point, I am confused - will I be getting items in the mail from Nintendo to make up for the days I wasn't on?

Maybe. It might be only the current one and the one before that you'll get most likely.

If your wii was unplugged for three months, I think that is rather strange, since wii connect24 can't have been in use. I am not sure what the actual reason for getting these items are. Maybe Nintendo are still distributing items.

I think for DLC you recieve it and once you recieve it no matter how long after you turn you wii on you get the DLC?
I don't know just a guess...

something like that happened to me too. i went on vacation and had no internet connection, but got the dlc when i started up the game. apparently the dlc had come through before i left my house and had just waited a few days to show up.

@smasher: Thanks.
@MasterM64: But Tax Day was months ago (mid-April) an I wouldn't really consider that current. I'm not really sure what the reason was behind the Mayor's flag was, though.

Well, if I get the items I missed when I wasn't on then I guess that is a pretty good thing then. :D

I just made a new town, and the Walrus guy gave me Tortimer's flag..
