does someone know how it works, i have been trying 2 times now and Rod has not moved his house! help pleaseeee
 
Wait, so what exactly are you doing?

You start up a new character, search for a plot. It will only change if you haven't already had 10 villagers. You will only see the plot, not the house itself.
If you like the plot, save. If you don't, reset.
If you've started up on Mayor, you've done it wrong.

We don't know the EXACT cause to corruptions. All we have are the stories that resets have caused corruptions. But since 99.9% of us aren't the developers or tech people for this game or Nintendo, we're stuck with this.
So it might. But yesterday, I reset for half an hour to put Carmen in a good place. No corruptions. I've reset before and have had none. So it's a risk. Is it worth it? Maybe.
