I recently unlocked terraforming and have been moving all the buildings on my island around. The only things I still have to move are the shops and my tenth villager's house (the house circled in the picture). However, my tenth villager's house is where I want to put Nook's Cranny, and my original plan for the house won't work. I originally want to put five homes on the left side of the island, but I want every house to have a yard, and there's only room for 4. So I have four options (circled with numbers on map for easy reference):
1. I wanted to make a little "zen" area here (bamboo, outdoor bath, etc.), but the house + yard could fit well here.
2. I was just going to do fruit trees on my third level, but I could put the tenth house up here instead. However, then I would feel like I needed to build an incline, and I currently have 7 already and wanted to put one leading up the cliff to my campsite. Because the limit is 8, I would either have to choose just one, or delete an existing one.
3. I ideally wanted all villagers off of the "main" island area so I could make it more town-like, but I could put it there in the corner. However, I don't love this idea because I feel it would be out of place.
4. This would take the most effort - I would move the campsite to the area mentioned in plot one, put the zen area on the third level, and plant fruit trees near the museum instead. Then I would get rid of the part of the cliff that sticks out where the campsite is and put the house there. I like this because then I don't have a house off by itself.
What do you all think?
