How do I attach an image to a message?

First and foremost, I'm very sorry if this doesn't belong here, I don't really know where to put it.

I'm just wondering how I can attach an image to a post, or a PM.
If The image is saved on my phone's camera roll, or my computers picture files, how do I attach it to the post/message?

I've done it before somehow, but I really don't remember how :-/

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm just really not good with these kinds of things!

you can upload it to sites like imgur and photobucket. they'll provide a link and you can copy & paste it here

offtopic, but for future reference any type of question you have belongs this board. As for your question the best option is to upload it to imgur and then attach the image.

forgot to mention that there's an option to 'attach images,' it should be available through forum posts and pm. im not exactly sure if it'll work through your camera roll, but i'll give it a try after this to see if it works. the icon for it is like a tree in a box - the quality gets pretty messed up if you go this route though. to use it in pm, select 'go advanced' below the text box

Uploading to Imgur is better than using the 'upload images' tool though, as it shrinks them down. :/

Don't forget that if you've saved some 3DS photos using Miiverse, you can log in at miiverse.com and just right-click your images to get a link then display them directly on here.

Also keep in mind that if you use the sites uploader, it costs you TBT bells. So really imgur or photobucket is probably your best option, unless you don't care about spending a few bells each time.

Oh wow. Never noticed that! Probably because I've only used it a couple times and was displeased with the results. That, and your post sort of balances out the Bells spent.

That depends on where you post actually, as some boards don't earn you TBT. xP
