Don't be discouraged! It all takes a lot of practice finding the right technique that suits your style best. There's a lot of different ways, like changing the opacity, as well as changing the hardness (100 = super clean edges, good for lineart, 0 = airbrush). Try to experiment with different brushes as well, not just the same one all the time! Chances are, your favorite artists mix it up without you knowing it!!
