How do I get different flowers and fruit?

Hi,

Have been playing the game for a while now and I noticed my island only has two types of flowers, and I can’t seem to find common flowers such as the roses and tulips. Does anyone know how to get other flower types? The shop only sells the flower types already in my town and the nook miles ticket takes me to islands with the same flowers as mine. Also does anyone know how to get all the fruit types?

I got 3 peaches (not my native fruit) from mail next day? You can also found other fruits from other islands, but idk if they are rarer than found you native fruit. Also trading with a friend(s).

I have been able to find tulips and pansies In nooks cranny but no Rose's or lilies or anything :c

i’ve been able to find tulips, pansies and hyacinths from nook’s cranny - i received non-native fruit from my in-game mother but rare colours/other fruit i have only been able to obtain through the random island tours owo

The random island tours just have the same fruit as my town and the same flower type as my town too :/

I'm having the same problem. Done 3 Nooks Miles trips and the fruit is the same as my native D:

the outer islands fruit tend to be random but do swing a bit more to your native fruit somedays.

i got pears last time i went. my native is peaches.

What level of development was your island at when you finally got a different fruit? And did you have the ladder?

All I'm getting are very small islands with my own native fruit, like 7 times in a row.

i did have the ladder. but that's day 3 for you.

I can confirm that I am on Day 2 and on my 5th Nook Miles Travel, I got a different fruit!
No villager was there this time though, but I think that's because I've already invited 3 today.
