I have been trying to get my dream town but then the other day my friend told me a villager moved out of their town then i got on Friday and saved and quit then i went back on and someone was moving and i tried to move a day back but that made them move in fully and then i realized it was the villager that moved out of my friends town. I have been trying to get rid of him, by him i mean Boomer,and nothing is working if you have any tips of how i can get rid of Boomer please let me know ;a;

Make a new villager, talk ONLY to ((Boomer, in your case)), save and quit, tt 7 days, that villager will ping to move :)

Ok i will give it a try right now but i would like to see what other people come up with as i do this

Hitting him with your net is a big NO, it puts them in the 'friendship ladder', meaning if they do want to move out, they won't because they want to get to you know better, etc, etc. Usually because the move outs are completely random except for like high relationships.

If boomer is your latest move in, he won't move out. you have to get someone else to move in after him in order for him to start pinging you to move.

Ok good to know well now i know i'm stupid for hitting on him XD

NOOOO ARE YOU SERIOUS KARMINNY I TRIED WHAT YOU DID AND OE OF MY VILLAGERS MOVED NOOOOO

Why do you want to get rid of Boomer? He is a sweet heart! (He is in my town.)

Ah... I always end up keeping one of my non dreamies! I guess I just don't care that much... Ha ha

I really hate Boomer because when I was trying to get rid of him LUCKY MOVED OUT I WANT HIM OUT ASAP

When you TT, never go more than 5 days at a time if you have villagers you don't want to move. I usually go only 2 or 3 days at a time to be safe. Also, you should be careful about taking advice from people here. Most people are just trying to help, but some people don't know the mechanics of the game very well and can mislead you. You should always look for verification from multiple people that something actually works before you start doing experiments with your town.

Well you are a little too late because I already lost my Lucky ;~;
But thanks for the advice...

Now I have to hunt him down again. I'm about to go insane I'm about to use some hacks to get rid of him :/

Just a note, if you do hunt down Lucky again you have to have had 16 villagers in between to get him again...

Well I finally got Boomer to move but.....I lost 2 villagers that were supposed to be in my dream town and to make it worse someone else moved in so the moral of the story is if your dream town is almost complete and a random villager moves just wait for them to move out and don't end up how I did now a moment a silence for the villagers I lost....Lucky and Zucker they will be missed and they will rejoin my town again someday And remember all good things go to those who wait ;~;

I'm going to keep this forum open for a while just to see if people have other ways to get villagers to move Because it is a pretty common topic to discuss

No, this isn't true as far as I know. It's not guaranteed that it'll be that villager who will move. If someone could confirm this it would be great (since it would save most people a lot of time) but I doubt it.

There isn't really a way to get a single villager to move. Some people say that if you hit them with nets or ignore them they're more likely to ping you, while others say that doesn't work and you should become good friends with them instead. I'm pretty sure that it tends to be random, with exceptions like how your 10th villager is very unlikely to ping you. The methods people use to move a specific villager out are actually about speeding up the process of getting pings from a bunch of villagers, meaning that at some point they'll get pinged by that villager without having to wait a long time.

I recently described the method that I use here.

If you're not time travelling, the only thing you can do is just be patient and wait for that villager to ping you eventually.
