I am playing the update and I for the life of me can't figure out how to set a ladder kit.
How do I make Perma ladders?

You have to go up to a cliff and select the ladder and it will say 'use on cliff' or something.

A lot of people are busy with the games themselves, we're not gods who can't instantly help you. Doesn't mean you can be a little rude because you weren't answered in a timely manner.
As HappyTails just said, use it from your inventory near a cliff to set it up.

Ok, so I'm frustrated. Got the kit, made one. I wanted to have one at the secret beach, so I don't have to keep using my ladder tool when ever Redd visits, but it won't let me, says there is no cliff to use it on. I was right up against the cliff, and even stepped back to see if that made a difference. Why couldn't I use it there, does it have be on a camera facing cliff, if so I don't think I'll ever have a use for it.

Yeah, it's tricky. I've found a way, though.

I will have to give that a try. I was hoping to have it in the center of the secret beach, especially as I have two Easter Island Heads that are to flank the walkway. But if its off, its off. I'll try it again next time I'm on.
