How do you delete/lock threads on here?

I'm not a particularly new member, but I very rarely post my own threads here and have forgotten how to do this :/

it depends which board you're posting on within the forums
for brewster's cafe, you'll have to ask a mod to lock it for you

What about a thread on The Basement?

you can't delete threads and i think you can only close threads in certain boards

boards like re-tail, TBT market, villager plaza and museum shops(?) can be closed by you but on other boards should be closed by a mod. you cant delete your own threads though, a mod will do that for you but rarely do they delete them without some sort of reason i think.
as for basement threads, those have to be closed by a mod i think.
