How do you earn seashells?

Seashells are the new "Welcome" Bells. Instead of getting payments of TBT, new users get a set amount of seashells which they can use for stuff like name changes in the Seas hack.
When you joined you received welcome bells which would have allowed you to change your username for free. It was changed due to members creating alt accounts to give their main account these TBT bells.

You only got 800TBT though, I'm sure
I could be wrong, but I'm almost certain welcome bells were originally higher than 800 (around 900-1,000?) but were lowered and also sent out in bunches due to people making alts. Back in the day, username changes were also cheaper, too, so the amount of welcome bells you were given should have been enough (or at least close to) to allow for that.
