Okay so this games inner mechanics have been a lot different than that of like New Leaf so I was wondering, is there a way to force villages to get into boxes this time around? I see people saying they can force villagers out in trading so I wanna know how it’s done in this game lol

from what ive seen.. you can only really force out villagers buy getting amiibo cards.. but i also heard that that could result in a really bad glitch, which nintendo could've fixed but idk !! so unless u have amiibo cards i dont think there really is a way to force them out unfortunately its kinda just random

if you have 10 villagers and get lucky to have a random camper on your campsite, you can always use the camper (if you want them, ofc) to remove a villager from your island. unlike with the amiibos, who let you choose who to boot out though, the campers will randomly suggest someone.

Hi! Can you confirm whether a "random camper" can still come to the campsite if you have 10 villagers occupying your plots?

yes! it just appears to be WAY less frequent than in NL. i had 10 villagers and velma came to my campsite and suggested to kick out rodney when i won her game of cards, so it definitely does work.

When it comes to Amiibo the original bug with them was already fixed, however, a new bug has been found with Amiibos glitching. This only affects whoever tries to adopt the villagers you kicked out with the use of Amiibo, so if you are not giving the villagers away, you should have no problem with using Amiibo.

Wow, if you're sure, okay then! I have 10 villagers right now too, and I've been trying to kick ANYONE off just so I can try my luck in mystery islands and the campsite. Good to know that I at least have a chance with the campsite while no one has decided to leave...

what i do is ignore my favorite villagers and talk to the ones i dont want, i skip ahead 5 days and see if they wanna move but make sure you talk to all of them except for your faves! and then repeat 4-5 days again, usually someone wants to always move the second or third time skip <3

Still haven't figured it out. I've been ignoring a villager for days and he still hasn't moved. Yet someone else has who I was good friends with/talked with a lot and gave me lots of gifts. So I'm confused how it exactly happens.

same situation here, one villager who I gave gifts to and spoke often was thinking about leaving so I just let him lol weird

Less frequent than NL? Geez, NL felt like it wasn't frequent enough as it was. I would have many days in a row with no camper sometimes. :/

You can still get a camper if you have 10 villagers. I had Goldie come. You can try asking them to move in, and they'll call Tom Nook to see if "its ok" And the villager who is forced out is a random villager who is thinking about moving. You can say yes or no to force this villager out. I got really unlucky and my favorite villager was the one who wanted to move so I had to tell her no. So yes you can force a villager out, but you can't pick which one is leaving

do you skip 5 days day-by-day or do you just skip ahead to 5 days later? :O i wanna try this out. i noticed that your faves seem to want to move out more bc the natural thing for us to do is talk to only them and ignore the ones we don't like hm....

no i just go to settings and change the date 5 days ahead and then resume the game and press "save and end" so it takes me back to the title screen and then it refreshes as if it's 5 days later, yeah thats why ignore my faves! i just got tabby to move out today so i could get merengue, but i did this already to move out about 5 villagers
