How does one generally appropriate value on in game transactions? (Supply & Demand)
I'm curious about what is generally acceptable for in game transactions. I read up on the stickied post regarding keeping the playground (Forum) fair from exorbitant prices and/or sales, requests etc., by taking advantage of any unintended glitches (Previously the duplication glitch). Now I am not sure how people taking advantage of time traveling for IGBs or other reasons is accepted. To my knowledge this is not considered an unfair advantage as time traveling is intended (Game design) and anyone can do this with little effort. Regardless, in doing so the market is and can be flooded for those who participate in a community with transactions (Forum)
Reading threads over the last few days I have seen all kinds of examples of trades. 100k IGB for a 10 stack of fishing bait, 200k IGB for Nook Tickets to include people agreeing to buying 14 tickets for 2.4 million IGB from one seller alone.
A common request I see, is villager transactions, and think about the work a seller would have to go through setting that up if the villager in question was not currently "moving out" (to include proper prevention of a reported villager transaction glitch).
I know a transaction is always what a buyer and seller agrees on, however has anyone noticed any generically acceptable supply and demand trends for all types of transactions, or am I asking the question to early because the game is brand new.
I would prefer to avoid anything crazy. As an example if someone said they wanted a villager, and stated "name the price", how am I supposed to reasonably respond to that?
1 million IGB?
100k IGB?
10 million IGB?
What about other transaction types?
Or am I thinking to hard, should just name my buy or sell prices, and if it doesn't work, it doesn't work.
Thanks!
