Have way to many NMTs?

Note, i'm not complaining or anything, just curious on how some players have to much considering 1 Ticket goes for 2,000 Nook Miles. What does players do to make so much tickets?

Any ideas?

I think people trade for them. I once received 80 NMT for a spare Valiant statue. And some people have sold their Raymond for 500 or 600 NMT.

That make sense also, wow! 500 or 600 NMTs!?!? Raymond really goes for that high?

I buy NMTs from people’s shops on this site :) you can use the site currency (tbt) which is the amount of bells under your name.
Saves me from sitting there printing out my own tickets!

It looks like the current average price to adopt Raymond on Nookazon at the moment is 200 NMT. But when I was seeking him a little while ago, people were still asking 400 to 450 NMT.

Wow... Even in a drop, the price still high. That cat is really the new Marshal.

i get as many nmt as i possibly can for trading purposes. i do enjoy the mystery islands, but the trading quality of them is excellent!

You can buy NMTs for in game bells on Nookazon's discord pretty easily. If you have 2 switches to farm turnips, you have infinite bells. Also trading villager framed photos, and Raymond/Judy give tons of NMTs. With any patience you can still get like 400+ NMTs for Raymond (often the same or close for Judy), and that's at their low point. Both of them used to easilyyyy bring over 1000 NMTs, especially if you're a trusted trader.

Otherwise genuine statues/art are also great to trade for NMTs. Gallant, Great, and Valiants in particular (but Motherly, Robust and Tremendous are also solid). Obviously it takes time and luck with time traveling, but it's not so bad if you kill time watching youtube or twitch while art farming. :)

I had like 100,000 NookMiles saved up before I traded in for tickets, they just piled up from playing.

well as far as i know some people can:

1) Trade them
2) Get them through treasure islands which you can get as many as you can carry with you basically
3) Through nook mile points i have like over 300.00 points by now since they dont add anything new or appealing to buy they just keep piling up for me.

I think this are the three main ways of getting lots of nook mile tickets.

They do just build up over time. I haven’t actively collected them for a while as there is nothing to spend them on. I don’t go island hopping as I have all my villagers. Everyone who is selling stuff wants tbt. Not very useful to me if I’m honest.

I'm pretty sure people hack their games.
Not people with the tickets. But people.

So there became a lot more tickets floating about.

At this point in the games life having there be lots of tickets makes sense.
But the rate at which inflation hit the game... yeah, I think hacks were involved.

I have close to 1 mil but just don’t use them except if something new comes in store..

I see tickets up for sale, for actual money on eBay. I can’t believe people are selling virtual items and villagers, but sometimes people get desperate, I suppose. I’m judging the person who spends actual money on tickets, but if that’s what their worth to you, go for it. What is worthless to someone may be worth it to someone else.

have you heard of turnip.exchange? a really good way to amass nook miles tickets is by finding a good turnip price day and charging an entrance fee in nook miles tickets there. some people charge one ticket and some charge several tickets to enter. the queues there fill up fast so i cant imagine it takes too long to get a lot of tickets

There are people who actively grind the points to be able to use NMT as a currency. For example, people will exchange NMT for TBT bells (our forum currency) on here.

Just out of curiosity... How many Nook Miles Tickets would I theoretically be able to get for 16,000 TBT Bells?
