A couple of questions for you all, in previous AC games how long have you kept your town going before you gave up and let all your villagers die and town go black forever?
A few weeks, months anyone played the same town for over a year? It doesnt count if you reset your town and start again.
Also if you have played a town for a year whats the longest you have had a villager stay, have you had someone in your town the whole time from the very start?
I've been playing AC:WW for 3 years now. Same town, never reset, not even once. Every single day, I play to water my flowers, pick weeds, write letters. I'm not ready to give up on my town, I have lots of blue roses, and I love my villagers (Kiki and Rolf and Cyrano especially) too much. Kiki has been in my town since Day 1. Even though I have AC:NL now, I'm still playing my WW town every day.
I played Animal Crossing GC up until WW. But I only played it a few times a week after a few years.
I sadly didn't get to play Wild World as much as I would have liked to because around that I was moving around a lot.
This time around I imagine I'll be playing for a good couple of years hopefully. Since there is so much more content I'm sure that I won't get bored of it easily.
My favourite is the Gamecube version. I imported it from the US in 2004.
I've got 3 villages on 3 different memory cards but my main village was created in 2004 and I still play it today (admittedly not as much now New Leaf is out). I wasn't ever a huge fan of WW(screen size) or CF(controls).
Gonzo the Koala is still there 9 years later and has been in my village since the beginning
I don't really get bored... not enough to stop playing it regularly anyway. I have all the NES games which makes it easier to enjoy for longer
The longest town I had in Wild World was a few months, while City Folk was maybe two months. Wild World was hard because there was so much to do and I had so much after school, so I always ended up resetting. City Folk was way harder; plus, it wasn't portable, so when I went on trips I had to miss a few days. I'm hoping to have New Leaf for many years, though!
I have Wild World and City Folk. My longest lasting character was Bob the cat on Wild World, I can play a very long time (2 hours) without getting bored on both consoles.
