Hello!

So I am confused as to what the value of a TBT is. Somebody told me that one TBT is worth 200,000 bells. But I'm confused by this, in regards to villagers. When people sell villagers on here, they usually sell them for about 5,000,000 bells. But I have someone who is selling me a villager for 150 TBT, which (per calculations) is 30,000,000 bells!!! That seems like way too much to pay.

I don't understand value, apparently... can someone please help me???

Idk TBT is weird lol

It's relatively easy to get TBT though, so its worth it. I do think 150 is a little expensive though (if it is tier 1). I prefer the 75-125 range for tier 1s.

But yea, basically people are selling villagers for 30,000,000 on this site. It's kind of normal

So I have another question. I am selling a complete Gracie set, and I was wondering what a good pricing would be for it? The whole set is worth about 2.5 million bells.

Also, would Bangle be considered Tier 1? Because that's who I'm buying for 150 TBT...

the tbt:IGB currency exchange rate does not always match perfectly with non-currency exchanges, such as purchases of items and villagers...

No way! That's a terrible deal. Bangle is Tier 5 (the least popular). She is absolutely not worth that much.

So what would be a good price for Tier 5? I don't quite have an idea for this...

I'm also super grateful because Bangle is one of my favorite villagers xD

you can get 100tbt for 20mil igb, as for the villagers: a tier 1 villager can go as high as 100tbt (if youre lucky) and the price for villagers lowers in tbt the lower the villager's tier is (i hope that made sense)

So if Tier 1 is about 100 TBT, would Tier 5 be 20 TBT? Idk I'm using math to figure this out... I don't mean to be difficult or anyting.

tier 5 is the bottom of the barrel, so it would be most likey free

Neither TBT bells nor villagers have a set value. Both are worth whatever someone is willing to pay, which has always been the case. While the tier guide is certainly a helpful resource and is great for determining popularity, it's by no means an official price guide and everyone is bound to value things differently.

I actually paid 500 TBT bells for a villager around the time I joined the site, which was seriously "overpaying" for where he was placed on the guide that was active at the time, but he was a dream villager of mine and I felt fine about paying that much because I really wanted him. Didn't feel like I overpaid in the slightest and I still have him to this day.

If you really want Bangle and she's worth paying 150 TBT bells to you, I'd say to go for it. There's always the chance someone might offer her for less or for free at some point, but don't let the fact that she may not be a super popular villager dissuade you from making a purchase you feel good about, especially when value is so subjective when it comes to things like this.
