You left out some important information: how long does it take you to draw these?

Awww these are so cute. Sadly i cant price RLC since I've never bought art with real money.

I hope you consider selling these for TBT!

Alright, so usually, for determining your price, the minimum can be done by taking minimum hourly wage and then multiplying it by hours spent on a piece. However, skill levels vary, and sometimes this method wouldn't be accurate because people just won't be willing to pay too much for lower skill while they can get something of higher one at a similar price.

Since you're asking this outright, I will be honest and straightforward with you. I usually don't critique hobbyists too much unless they plain out ask for it, but when you want to sell your art, it's a different story. So, in all honesty: Your art is cute, but I think you should practice some more before you try to sell it.

Your work, although cute, shows complete lack of understanding of form and light/shadows, your shading is placed randomly and covered up by a lot of sparkles, which at the first glance may look cute, but after you stare at it for a few more seconds it does look flat. I suggest you work on that. Another thing you could definitely improve is dynamics, the characters look somewhat lifeless and stiff to me.

On the bright side though, your linearts are very clean and that makes them look nice. Your color schemes are appealing and work well, so you definitely get praise in this department as that's something many artists struggle with. And overall, your style in terms of the way you draw lines and facial features is quite visually pleasing. In addition, I think your anatomy looks pretty great as well!

Now you may ask, why do I suggest you don't start doing commissions yet? Ultimately, it's up to you, and while you could totally do it right now if you wish (and if you really insist, please do, I hope you can get customers and enjoy it) but here are a few reasons why improving a little more could benefit you.

- Prices - like I said, people can be very cheap and at your current level, they could offer to pay you little. If your prices are very low, you'd be underselling yourself. That's just taking advantage of you and it hurts not only you, but the artist community in general, because if someone severely undersells themselves it makes the buyers think that art isn't worth much.

- It's stressful. Trust me. I've been doing this for years and you need to prepare yourself mentally. Commissions can get stressful, you no longer draw for yourself and people demand it's just like they want it, plus you're put under pressure of time as well.

- This one is from observation, but I've seen this happen to many young artists who jump in too fast and it's really sad when it happens: it can kill your motivation. Granted, maybe you aren't like that and if so, then there is nothing to worry about. But I've seen artists open commissions eagerly and then not get any, and after that they would get very disappointed and just close them and feel super bitter about the fact nobody wanted to order anything.

So... I apologize if I sounded too harsh. I think your art is cute and nice, but personally I believe if you tried to price yourself after you improve a little more (so, maybe a few months from now on) it could benefit you more because you could start off with higher prices and not overwork yourself then possibly end up dissatisified. But if you do want to open commissions, then by all means do it, I just genuinely hope that if you do it will go smoothly and if it doesn't, that it won't upset or stop you.

For pricing itself, I can't help pinning down exact numbers I am afraid. When I started off it just went by testing the waters, gradually increasing my prices and seeing if people are willing to pay x amount for a drawing. But please, don't be me and don't do dumb stuff like asking for a mere $25 per full illustration with bg and everything (yep, I did that when I started and... just don't. Seriously. Nobody deserves to work for so little money. )

Original canvases are 1000x1000 or 1500x1500!
I'll consider selling them for TBT but its likely that I won't

!!! Thank you for the criticism! I'll take note of that and try to improve before I do commissions then

You're most welcome! Whew, I was afraid I'd accidentally offend you, so I am glad you didn't find my critique rude. I love how you can keep your head up, that definitely means you're suited for doing paid art in the near future, keeping an open mind is a VERY important trait!

Best of luck with your art and have fun with it.

Thank you once again! Its not often that i get criticism so I'm glad to hear what i can work on!

Aw, really? Well, if you ever crave some please feel free to VM/PM/whatever else me, I will try my best to help.

I used to get them rarely myself, but nowadays it's either my friends (many of them are BY FAR better artists than I am) or people slipping small critiques in a comment or such, and oh lord, it helps so much. I really owe them.

Just a heads up that RLC shops don't do too well here since most of us are either young or poor (or both lol). In most cases RLC artists have one high-priced TBT slot so that some people have a chance at art. Choice is up to you though, just figured I'd let you know!

Love your style btw, your coloring is beautiful. :)
