How often can we give gifts to our animal pals?

As the title says, how often can we give gifts using the dialogue option? And if I mail them gifts instead are they going to wear them/put them in their house too?

Seems like you can dialogue gift once per day, I think it's not a guarantee unless your friendship is very high.

Yes they will wear the clothing/put furniture and clothing in their houses as well - but they will also store at least 1 piece of clothing in their clothing storage (dresser/wardrobe) if they have one.

However, as far as I know they will only wear clothers for a single day them put them in their house, before switching back to default.

I gave one of my villagers a top via mail, but it only appeared in the drawer of another villager. If you want them to wear it, you have to give it to them directly.

No, they will swap and wear the outfits at will. Bianca went back to her default shirt, but she's wearing the dress again. This has been ongoing for a few days now. I think they have an outfit pool they will pick and choose from.
