How often do you go to the island over wifi and what are your experiences of it?

I like visiting the island over wifi but usually only with my own country. I've been on the worldwide one and have met a couple of Japanese people but they didn't seem to talk ._. probably because of the language barrier (although I understand some Japanese - but the only option is romaji)... One time I went there and it said that there was someone else there but I couldn't see them anywhere.

Anyway I'm just curious on what other people's experiences have been...?

I used to go quite often, but i always ended up running into people that would annoy me for gold, or ignorant people. I just didnt see the point really, so i guess i go alone now. That being said not all my experiences are bad. I tend to have the odd visit where the members on it are pretty decent but i guess its just me with my bad luck.

When you ask to go to the island tell him you want to go with other travelers and then choose world wide xD

I went to the island over wifi and I exchanged my FC with this girl but turns out I messed up the ending to it so I gave her the wrong one X_X this happened twice with 2 different people when I first memorized my friend code aha

I hate it. I'm only going there for the wifi island items, and I always end up on islands full of people who want to talk to me...maybe next time I'll tell those 12 year old players on my regional islands they shouldn't be playing at 4 am.

I only ever go there to collect the mermaid furniture and any rares. So I don't really have any experiences as such, but on the whole when people have been there they have all been nice.

I only go to Club Tortimer when I need something. I've been island hopping recently to find a silver axe, with no luck... I did have a really cute experience yesterday, with two young boys who were at the North American island. We did a fishing tour together, and then we ran races around the island -- they had dug up a bunch of holes to make it an ideal race track. It was very sweet.

I just go to check out the items. When I go there usually isn't anyone there.

I've been on the hunt for something to buy. Things okay first couple of times. Then I hit a streak of troublemakers. Had to hit the wi-fi button 5 times in a row.

only had a few 'annoying' people and some people asking for money and stropping when i don't give them it. only a few have done that so i don't mind... i just can't be bothered to talk most of the time but when i do go (which isn't often) i try and strike a conversation in some way or another.

I visit often only for the items. I see people a lot, but almost everyone I meet doesn't even talk. So I've started just checking the items and leaving after that, regardless if someone's there or not.

I always feel rude if I don't say 'hello' and I've only ever come across 1 beggar but I just told her that I didn't have any with me and that was the end of that.

I used to go to the island nearly every day, but not so much anymore.

I haven't been to the online island since I got the last piece of mermaid I needed and there isn't anything I want badly enough to want to go there now. Not that I've had any bad experiences as such; It just seems like a place people go if they want to socialize.

I have done it a few times and have met lovely people! But one time I met a young boy and we talked for awhile then he blurts out he's in love with me and wants my phone number and yeah..... I usually just go there for items but feel guilty if I just leave so I stay and play a little then leave. One time I had a game planned and she sat in the chair and everything but she jumped up right before I sat down.......
