How should I design the entrance of my island?

The plaza is really close to the airport, but it's centered.

maybe but an arch and some streetlamps right in front of your plaza then up ahead put the fountain item in the middle of that walkway if you have space, that’s what i would do

I usually have a couple of identical cliffs and waterfalls at the entrance but with it being centered you can have some trees and maybe have a sitting area with a couple of benches.

That’s completely centered, alright. That should be easy to work with. It really depends on what theme you’re going for on the rest of your island. I’d use the street lamps, but after that, it depends on what you want. I think since the walkway is so short, even just the street lamps would do the trick.

I think it depends if you’re going for some type of theme on your island?

For example, if you were doing a cottage core or even a forest/nature theme I think it would look good with built up forrest and trees on both sides. A mix of trees and maybe some mushroom platforms and mush lamps to add depth to the forests. Then you can add off shoots to either side for pathways around the resident services building.

You could also play into the resident services area and make like a continuation of it that meets up with your airport. Make it like a plaza of sorts with small pop up shops, street lamps, put a fountain and some beaches in there!

It looks like your airport and plaza are the same design as mine both in line with each other? I have been playing around with a different entrance design since the game first came out but in the end I went with a path leading up from the airport to the plaza with greenery on either side and waterfalls.

Oooh! You're lucky to have it all centered like that. Mine is off to the side (rip).
Whatever you do, I'd make it even on both sides, like that KittenNoir has done. Streetlamps, trees, bush paths would all look nice. Maybe make a big waterfall you walk through the middle of. Or a forest trail maybe. Depends on what your theme is.
