How to get villager houses close together

Im currently in the process of moving all my villagers into one section in my town and I was wondering how I can get my villagers houses to be perfectly next to each other and in front of one another?

I’m not sure I understand. You were able to place the lots wherever you want all along, right?

If you mean how to move them, just talk to Nook and choose the option that says something about Island Layout or Infrastructure. There, you can choose which house to move, get a little kit with their “plot” and put it in your desired location. Then the next plot goes beside it or behind it, and so on. However you want.

If you already know the process of moving buildings then you can place paths down like just use the basic ones the game already gives you and use that to help you align the villagers houses. this is what i did after i had a hit and miss twice.
