so ive seen so many screenshot of villagers convo and my villagers dont even talk to each other. do i just push them close to another and hope they strike up a convo?
They just start a conversation by theirselves. Pushing them or something won't help, and is a bit weird honestly. I wouldn't talk if I was forced by somebody either.
are you familiar with the pwp dive trick? I've noticed when I do this, I'll see two villagers having a convo while trying to get a ping. also if i leave my ds open and stay in a secluded area for a couple mins, then start to venture out near my residential area I'll notice a conversation. (which is pretty much what the dive trick is but not having to go through as much work)
A lot of the conversations are pretty boring anyway. Once in a while they're funny. I swear though..a normal and a cranky conversation goes like this sometimes:
Unfortunately, you can't force them to talk. Wild World was great because they'd have a conversation if they were close. In New Leaf, they can be nose-to-nose and not seem to notice each other.
You can trap a couple of villagers together on a bridge like this:
There are no guarantees that they will start up a conversation but it greatly improves the chances of it happening. The only downside is that they might exchange clothing or catchphrases as well.
i really wish they talked more :c I hate the fact that they'll just wander around and bump into each other without any reaction whatsoever, it makes me wish I had played wild world.
