How to Trade Furniture / Save Items to Amiibo Cards

Thanks for posting this! I was trying to figure this out, as I just got my 7-11 DLC yesterday and wanted to know how to share it.

Oh rad! Thanks for the how-to. I was trying to figure this out but didn't realize you had to tap it twice.

I had no idea this was even possible. Thanks for the video!

Great job! I figured it out yesterday but I was trying to explain to my friend over txt how to do it and she couldn't get it. Now I can send her a link!!

One nice thing I found out is that the amiibo's own furniture is not replaced, the new stuff is just added. I haven't tried adding more to the same card to how much it can hold though.

yeah.. i was wondering, if you can memorize items from more than one room, or if it will overwrite the previous additions.
would be cool (i guess the villager statue can be traded too then)

Ooh, great! You always have the best videos for Animal Crossing. I am dying to get a hold of the 7-11 set & Isabelle's scooter so I am glad people have figured out how to do this.

If anyone has all of those items and would be willing to share them (on any amiibo card) I would definitely pay a few dollars!

They can only remember one room at a time, so if you try to remember another, it will overwrite the previous items. Because of this, I'm guessing the max items that can be stored on a card are the room max (64 item, I think?) + any items the characters already has.

good to know, thanks :)

Glad you all like it :)
Yeh, I think it will only stores up to 3 or 4 pages of items minus the items it already has on there.

I'm hoping to make a video soon of all the DLC :D

I found out that it also works on the contest items. I summoned some villagers when I took my screenshot for the HHN contest; later, I was flipping through my catalog and I found the giant cake and house item there. I was really surprised and actually a bit disappointed (I'm a little happy too since I have 0 votes :[); I thought that they would have done something to prevent you from being able to obtain the contest prizes through any other way besides winning.

Oh I see... I guess you can visit HHD contest houses and other network homes and steal all the furniture then xD

I don't think so because you can't use amiibo cards when using the HHN

I thought you got them if you participated in the contest?

You do, but I think there might be a way to get items through visiting peoples homes online.

Oh really? I see a few people on other websites talking about getting items by visiting peoples home codes...
I'm gonna have to try this now...

You can't steal the furniture from other network homes. lol. The only reason you can with the contest is because you can summon your villagers that you have amiibo cards of.

Edited:

Let me know if you figure out how. I'm really curious about this (I really want the 7-11 items T_T).

I don't think that's the case, but if it is, then, I'm confused about what the winner will even get. ><

Well I thought it was the same as seeing contest homes.
So technically you could get DLC furniture if a contest home as DLC in it.

Also, I don't think there is anything for the winners...
It wouldn't be fair to offer exclusive items less than 1% of users would ever get...

I'm visiting some contest homes now and there's no icon that let's you summon your amiibos.

And yeah, I don't think it would be fair either. I guess then the reward is getting the attention for being the winner?

[and sorry for letting the topic go off topic]

Yup, they unlock as soon as you do the challenge. They're your reward for participating. The winners just got put on the "best" list.

as an aside -- I was surprised to see that the challenge was worldwide -- for some reason I thought each region got challenges separately.

And the challenge items can be swapped on amiibo cards too, if you know someone who didn't have a chance to enter. (<--back on topic)
