Resident Night Mare
Well, not really. That would be crazy, not to mention downright scary! But it was raining last night and there seemed to be a lot more sharks swimming up to the beach than usual. I know coelacanth only show up when it rains, but I didn't see any. I'll have to ask Blathers if the sharks are attracted by the rain, and also if they scare the living fossils away.
Either way, between what I caught in Salem and a trip to the island, I was able to pay off my second-floor loan. I went right next door and talked to Tom about continued expansion. This time, I got to choose what I'd like to do. I chose to add a room to the left of the main entryway. It'll take some time to expand it, as well as add the other two rooms and basement, but even this extra bit is nice. I've already moved my bed upstairs; very nice in case someone comes to visit and I've forgotten to make it.
My first PWP was completed and Isabelle organized a ceremony to officially open the bridge. It provides a much quicker route from the Station to the Square and Town Hall, something I hope the villagers appreciate. I've set Lloid to start collecting donations for a third bridge, one which I am certain will get a lot of use, because it will connect most of the villagers with the center of the town's area. I also began laying some walkways down. I don't particularly like the idea of having roads, but I also don't want to see all the grass turn muddy. I've put down simple grey brick paths. I won't be able to do much more until I get another axe; mine broke from over-use. Well, I think there are some cherry trees that need to fruit, so I'd rather not cut them down until I've harvested, anyway.
I also got around to changing the Town Flag. Dizzy has been pestering me to do it, so with it being a slow day and all, I took care of it. Salem now displays a black flag with a gold pentacle. Everyone seems to like it.
