Hybrid flowers question

Im i doign somethign wrong?

Ive put like 20 flowers of the same kind like

red rose+yellow rose
white rose+red rose
etc.
And none of them are crossbreading

Ive only crossbreaded by accident with getting a pink cosmos.

What im doing,

Buy seeds from nook> plant ______rose wth ____________ rose together> waited a day (more then a few days now)> still no crossbreads.
If you come to my town and see my 2 flower paches you will see how unlucky i am to not get stuff liek blue, purple, orange, pink flowers.

every day in your town, 3-5 flowers will randomly appear in different locations. if they happen to appear in one of the squares surrounding 2 flowers of the same kind that are touching, they have a chance of being either one of the parent colors, or a hybrid. it's totally random - there is not set time you wait for them to appear.

however, there is one optimal way of planting your flowers... let's say you're doing cosmos, yellow, and red. Y = yellow, R = red, X = space with nothing...

continue this for as much space as you have, and you could throw in white ones wherever too. this gives you the most amount of spaces for hybrids to appear in. no one knows for sure, but there's a few people (including myself) that believe watering flowers every day, even though they're not wilting, give them a better chance on producing hybrids.

Place them in diamond-shaped bunches like Nedrian mentioned. =) You leave one space in the middle to get the best result. That's the simple way; each diamond-shaped bunch contains four and just try and place them around together to get the best results. Try looking for a guide to this. Lol, I'm just saying my opinion.

I think you just need to put two of the same type together and wait...
I put to red roses together in my garden and today there was a purple rose right next to it!

It seems like people are having a lot of problems growing hybrids so Iam going to make a guide to help all of you out a little bit.

Iam going to post by each hybrid out of my growing experience if it is easy, medium, hard, or very hard too produce these hybrids.


1.2 PLANTING

The best way to plant flowers to make a hybrid is like this:

You can plant them anyway you want but this way has worked the best for me this way there is not too many and you wont lose track of them you will always know there was 2 flowers next to each other, and it seems to produce hybrids quicker.


1.3 CARNATIONS

CARNATIONS:

On Mother's Day, your mother will send you a bag of pink carnations and,
on Father's Day, your dad will send you a bag of red carnations.

Pink Carnation + Red Carnation = WHITE CARNATIONS (HARD)

Also if you mix a pink or red + white it will make red white or pink.
