I am new here also

I got the animal crossing for Christmas..I don't have a clue what I am doing really. I have no water can and cant figure out how to get one to water my flowers that seem to be dying. I ate my perfect peach. I cant leave town as I have no friends I assume. I have to dream homes to look at in my home thingy. I have no clue what to do with those pattern thingys and I don't know how I am supposed to get that present that floats around by a balloon.

So as you can see any help is appreciated.

go talk to isabelle and keep doin the things she tells you. shell give you a watering can at the end.
im sure somebody will give you perfect peaches
you get showcase homes by streetpassing people who have the game.
patterns (pro can be worn) are used for lots of things. 'paths' on ground, clothes, flags, furniture.
eventually after the nookling store is upgraded (it may have to upgrade a few times) youll be able to buy a slingshot for 500 bells. use that to pop balloons. you can also use shovels/axes if theyre going over the cliff to the beach, but only if you try hard enough. they only have balloon furniture. eventually, silver and gold slingshots will float by. silver have two balloons, gold will have three. silver will shoot two rocks white gold will shoot three at a time. you can get lots and lots of silver ones.
