Haha I almost the same thing happened to me! My Beardo was moving while I had 10 villgares him included I TT him out and when I went back to the current date Ankha was in my campsite!

Congrats! If only I had the same feeling when he first moved into my town His house blocked off one of my paths, so I was really eager to give him to a friend. I wouldn't mind having him back if he picked a better place to stay!
