welp i haven't had even a month with the game and i 100 percent it. every moon every costume and everything...umm everything else.
for a mario 3D platformer its as basic as it gets you got your long jumps your triple jumps your ground pounds the usual. but with the addition to cappy where you can throw him for an extra platform you got some new moves that debuted in this wonderful title.
for one mario can now roll which is slightly faster than the normal walking speed you also have the capture ability to capture not only enemies but things like objects to help with puzzles. each world has different captures to get and each world is built around those captures making most moons and puzzles require captures to get through the game which is quite enjoyable.
the many costumes in the game are a nice throwback to older things mario is in. some moons are even centered around showing them to npcs.

Spoiler part and a bit of a rant more of a rant.

most moons in the game are bullcrap so much so that i wanted to throw my joycons. there are so many racing moons so many that require the reflexes of a ninja that its painful especially the koopa free running races. i know they were trying to do a koopa the quick thing but my god there is like 20+ races and that includes ones with the gold koopa who does advance acrobatics to stay ahead if you. just look at the moon koopa free running lost moon mastercup the things he does there is unreal. theres also the 100 jumprope and 100 volleyball which is cheap difficulty in itself. im not even gonna start on the Bound races in the ice kingdom.
other than that playing a casual play through is alright if your gonna do a 100℅ good luck. it helps to have at least 3 amiibo to help you find power moons.

as much bullcrap this game puts you through its not alot of bullcrap. its actually in tolerable doses. its a fantastic game that id recommend to anyone. its assist mode is great for younger players and helps when you get stuck on the main story. overall i enjoyed Odyssey. its a beautiful well made game with that Nintendo polish.
Most of all it's Freedom Like you never knew - GK

Congratulations!

The Mario games tend to be easy, but when they get hard, they are hard for ridiculous reasons.
