I can never host (via Internet) without Resetti showing up

I don't know if this is the right area to post but I seriously need help. It's really strange because I am unable to host via Internet but if I visit someone (also via Internet), the connection runs smoothly. Otherwise, when I open my gates, nobody can visit me.

It kinda makes me feel a bit sad cuz I worked countless hours on my town and would love for other people to see it than just my own sister. Is there something I need to fix on my Internet? Is it the visitors' Internet? That one seems unlikely since it seems to happen to anyone on here when I open my gates. Three people on this site have tried to visit me but to no avail.

What's the issue here??

This may be a simple connection issue with your own internet.

For example, if you host people coming to your town, the connection may not be strong enough to handle the connections with other people- whereas, if you're visiting someone else, they're the one handling the connection. Does this make sense?

I'm not sure if this if I'm 100% accurate on this, but it could be the case.

That's what I was thinking too... Which is really unfortunate ahhh. On the bright side, in the (near??) future, our Internet is going to have a stronger signal. I live out in the countryside and our Internet is DOGGY DOO DOO so I suppose it makes sense why I can't host. But thanks for confirming what I thought. <3

Yeah, I sometimes have this problem too -- even when my Internet connection is otherwise fine, I heard a lot of people have this problem a lot
