I can’t find any villagers on mystery islands..

I have a clearly available plot on my island and no one will move in. It’s been about three weeks and no one has moved in yet- and every time I visit mystery islands it’s completely deserted and no ones ever there- what’s going on?

If you run a cycling shop, villagers won’t appear on mystery islands if you’ve already invited a villager to your island.

Have you tried TTing forward and seeing if you get a random fill in?

You could also try inviting an Amiibo villager through the campsite or getting a random campsite visitor to take that plot.

Sure. If you invite a villager to your town, then you will not see any villagers on mystery islands afterwards. For example, if you have two plots and go island hopping and invite Zucker, you won’t see any more villagers until Zucker has moved in. But this might not be the reason.

You could try setting the time on your switch forward a couple of days to see if the plot has auto filled, or you could try inviting somebody from the campsite to fill the plot. I’m really not sure what else could be happening.

This might sound like a stupid question but are you going to Nook Mile Islands or Kapp'n Islands? Villagers won't appear on Kapp'n islands ...
