I caved and bought the Sanrio set for more than $5.99

Actually it was only 16 so it wasn't TOO bad. They actually cost less than the Series 5 which on Amazon only comes with 3 cards instead of 6 so I think what I paid for all six Sanrio isn't bad at all. They are arriving on Sunday.

I really like Rilla's hello Kitty items so I was like 'eh what the heck, YOLO'. I'm definitely going to be going for that Hello Kitty stuff. I do have a question though, can I invite these villagers to my island via campsite?

I don't blame you for that. I got my amiibo cards back during the New Leaf days when people were selling them for hundreds of dollars on ebay. I may have cheated and got some...not Nintendo endorsed ones for way too much money on Etsy, lol. Good you found them, though! Having the real deal is always so much better.

I'm still thinking about trying to sell some of my old cards... But since they're in English they might be harder to sell where I am now :/ (I know they still work but people here might not want them) I may try setting them up to sell when I'm back in the US.

If you like cute, invite Etoile. She is unbelievably adorable!! My daughter has her on her island and that little sheep is the cutest thing I've ever seen in the game. She has such a sweet personality too. She's just the most darling thing. I do love the sheep though. I have Pietro and Muffy on my island and love both of them too. My daughter also has Frita and again, love. So yeah, I guess we have a soft spot for the sheep. lol!

I'm thinking about inviting Rilla for my peppy because I feel like the gorillas are for the most part pretty awful, but Rilla has kind of a sock monkey look to her. I sort of appreciate the irony inherent in her having a peppy personality with that clunky gorilla body shape. Buuuut I just got Dotty's amiibo (among others), and I love Dotty so I'm not sure what's going to happen.

But for you, I don't think you'll regret it. My daughter says the accessories can all be downloaded without having the villagers live on your island if you don't want them. You mentioned Chelsea and she is adorable too. I love her coloring (although I can never remember her name - I always want to call her Gretchen - seriously, I have no idea what's wrong with me sometimes)

Take them to Harv's island and just summon them with the Amiibo. You'll be able to get all the items afterwards.

Thankfully you dont have to invite them all for it

you can either invite to harv's island like danny above said, or you can just invite them to the campsite and ignore them. they don't have to move in, they just gotta be scanned in somehow

Ok good to know! Does inviting them to live on your island work the same as a normal campsite villager? Sometimes ill try to invite a camper and they will wanna replace a villager I actually like :/

Congratulations on obtaining them! If buying them makes you happy, and you have the means to afford, then why not? Plus $16 isn't that bad at all. I've seen this stuff selling for 10X the price on eBay XD
And yes, you can invite the villagers via campsite if you have the Amiibo cards!
I hope you enjoy the company of these villagers and their furniture sets <3

$16 isn’t too bad! My local target had a huge stack of them locked in the display case where they keep switches last time I was there. Just incase anyone is looking for them, definitely check your local target
