I told myself I wasn't going to. I designed approximately 250 regular villager houses by going through the game the way it was intended - just using what I had unlocked and seeing it as a challenge.
But after so many repeat designs and sometimes no or very little new unlocks inbetween (I got sick of the gyms and most of the cows wanting "milk factories" and cafes), it felt like I was making the same things over and over. So I decided to just start taking requests, opening the boxes, and then immediately telling the person I was done.
Now today I no longer have regular villagers showing up outside Nook's Homes. I finished them all! Now I can go back and redesign the houses and 1) make them different from each other and 2) if a villager has a stupid request or item, it's no longer mandatory.
I'm actually way more excited about playing the game now than I was before, strangely.
Has anyone else run into that feeling? Either having gone and did what I did, or still designing houses one by one like I was before but starting to get frustrated from the item limitations?
