I don't understand how people get villager trading to work

People are wanting to trade, sell, auction and buy DREAMIES regularly it seems.

The surprising part to me is, some forum threads are created on the basis of moving out villagers early to acquire a beneficial transaction, when the villagers are not even in boxes. Why do people participate in trying to acquire villagers if there is no guarantee the villager will move out. To my understanding, the timing of when a villager moves out is random and there is no controllable way of getting a villager to move out when you want them to. The only exception is to be forced out by Amiibo, but then that defeats the purpose for the buyer due to the glitch.

Am I missing something here?

People can get villagers to move out with extensive amounts of time traveling. Yes, you cannot control which villager will move out nor can you control when they want to move out, but if the seller is willing to time travel then they can get the villager to move in a short amount of time.

Forgot to mention the that people who are posting the villagers before they are in boxes likely want to save some time having to look for offers or someone to get them. That way as soon as the villager ask to move, they can contact the person immediately.
