I got an ETA update for my New Horizon edition switch!

I ordered mine from Amazon on feb. 11 and just today I got an email saying it would be here on March 17. Which IS late but I?m relivedI got a eta!! I hope you did too! If you didn?t, yours will come within a couple days. I might go with my dad to gamestop to see if they have 5 NH switches to sell to the first 5 people who ask. It?s been rumored select GameStop?s will do this, we just don?t know which ones. If they do great, I?ll cancel my amazon order. If they don?t. Oh well I guess I just get it late.


Those of you who ordered from Amazon. Have you gotten any emails yet?

Heh, off topic but funny story about this... they're actually at my WalMart now; got a text from a family member who was at WalMart earlier and it said,

"Hey (my name) they got those crossing animal PS4s on the shelves you were talking about last week"

Haha. They tuned you out. Thankfully my kids are still young enough to think I'm cool, so they hang on to every word I say and video I show them about the game.

More so along the line that everyone in my family has zero knowledge of video games, and frankly don't care about them either... to be honest, no clue why they even text me about it in the first place. They knew I wasn't going to purchase one. XD

Yeah not bad at all! With shipping time that is exactly when I would have expected it.
I preordered mine from game stop so I am just picking it up there day of.

At this point I am expecting it after the 20th and hope NH saves can be system transferred.

The companion guide gave me an ETA of April 20th to 23rd. I'm gonna go cry, lol.

I will open mine, apply the screen protector, put the clear shell case on the back of the unit and Joy-Cons, clear covers on the front of the Joy-Cons, pre-install the game, power down, then place it gently in the Animal Crossing Switch case.

I'll probably open the case a few times just to make sure my new baby can breathe, but other than that, it's under lock and key until March 19th at 9p.

Awesome!! I plan to pick up a screen protector on the 20th after my class ends. I have a lot of school work due the week of NH release so I'm using my switch as motivation to push through!

Oh no, I'm not sure what exact day the switch was announced, but my boyfriend ordered it the second it was available off of EB's site, so "first wave" I guess. I thought because of this, there would be no issue, but while our order is confirmed, it has not come off of his credit card yet. Sierra's post gave me hope but now I'm concerned. I am in Canada as well, can you please share with me some more of this information on what you were saying about the estimated dates in the companion guide? If it's no trouble, I would very much appreciate it!

If it makes you feel any better, I'm US but in a similar situation as you. I ordered from Best Buy and it still says "pre-ordered" and that it's waiting for authorization from my card. Not sure what that means for me, since other Best Buy customers have apparently gotten confirmation emails.

Had anyone who has preordered from target in the USA gotten anything yet... Mine is still just stuck on preparing and I haven't gotten a confirmation email yet..
