Lolly's birthday present, that is. When I checked my mail this morning, there was a letter from her with a timpano drum as a thank you for a visit she paid yesterday. I pocketed it, thinking I'd sell it when Re-Tail opened, but while I was out watering flowers, Pekoe ran up to me saying she had been looking for one, and would I please trade. She gave me an Earthy Knit Shirt, which is on the list as a favorite to give to Lolly as a present. I've wrapped it and stashed it in my closet until her party. *whew*
After I had my morning cup of coffee, Brewster told me that I can start buying to-go cups. Not that I have anywhere to go sit and drink them (Rizzo, hurry up with the Zen projects!!!), but it's one step closer to starting to work there. I guess I could always take a seat at the table and drink it more slowly.
Blathers was thrilled to receive the robust statue I bought from Redd. The Art Gallery is so pitiful in comparison to the other three rooms of the Museum. Oh, well. I'll just keep chipping away at it.
I only had two hybrids this morning - another orange pansy and my first orange cosmos. Looking around town, I think the orange flowers will look nice around Rizzo's house. I have several tulips, which would also tie into my house, where I'm planting purple roses and pink tulips; they look very pretty alternated, I think. I did get a famous mushroom that was growing near my heart stump, though. And Phineas was in town and gave me my Backyard Gardener badge. Maybe that means I'm getting close to having bought enough flowers from Leif to unlock fertilizer.
I changed out the roof on my house to the ranch one, because I want to do the cabin exterior, and I think that will work nicely. They also match in theme. As far as the other houses go, I'm going to just pick what I think looks nice together and not worry about Lyle and his ninja examiners.
I put the melon exterior on Sapphire's house, which I think will work for the craft store, and the cabana fence. I'll probably go with the white mailbox and maybe the rough stone paving. I'm not sure which roof would look nicest with the walls, though, and don't really want to keep giving Nook money to cycle through. Any suggestions?
I laid down a stepping stone path last night. It's a pretty design, but I'm not really crazy about it. At least it'll give me guidelines for planting flower borders so I can start establishing dirt paths. I think I want them to only be one square wide. The more green in town, the better. I also used some default patterns to mark out where I want the Police Station and log bench. Anabelle requested a windmill, which might be pretty with a tulip field around it, but I want to wait until I have more projects to choose from.
Paid off my final basement expansion loan last night, but because of the roof order, I couldn't request a new room. I'll do that today. I think I'll go with the back room first.
We're supposed to have a meteor shower tonight, so maybe I can get something nice from Wishy. I'll have to haul the others out, as well, so I can up the odds.
