I hate my villagers

I restarted recently because I ended up hating my face and to catch back up I spent countless hours playing several in-game days at time until I got back to the current date.

Now that I've finally made it back I'm beginning to realize how much I hate my villagers. I only sort of like one of them and I really just want the 8 others to move out.

Is there anything I can do without time-travelling to speed up the villager move out process?

I do know about the new character creation method for controlling who you get in your town but I didn't hear about it until much too late.

Any help/useful information would be much appreciated.

I'm wondering this too! My villagers are just...ughh.

Who do you have?

Same here, I'm actually thinking of resetting just to have new villagers. :(

I'm thinking the same as Aurora, but my villagers are fine. It's just who you have, really. I don't know how to speed up the process, but after a long period of time everyone will move out. I wouldn't recommend restarting over villagers IF you have gotten far.
How far are you into the game?

Maybe if we all list our villagers, we can go and visit each others' and talk to them...maybe they'll move around

I'm a couple weeks in. So... I'm just waiting it out.

I'm a couple weeks in too, also my map isn't perfect for me, I was really wanting my beach on the left, but I reset so many times I just couldn't be bothered anymore. :(

I've reset a few times. It's not bad if you have money to start with. I had someone hold my bells while I reset everything.

Yeah, I have money to start with. I just need to find someone who is willing to hold onto everything for me. :/

I'm definitely not going to restart again as my layout has grown on me a lot. I'm afraid of killing the some of the magic of the game but I'm thinking I may have to leap a year or two into the future and then time travel back to today's date. This would effectively remove some of my villagers and leave space to control who moves in their place, correct?

By the way my villagers are: Rocco, Cobb, Poncho, Kitt, Charlise, Graham, Gloria, Peanut, and Blanche.

Just some balloon furniture bells, some tools, fruit, and some clothing.
If you want I can do it tomorrow or later tonight. I'm taking a break because I have a severe case of gamer thumb XD

Could you try it out and let us know? =3

Haha, yeah, that's happened to me before! xD Ok, I'll collect some stuff. Thanks. :)

Getting rid of villagers takes forever and it gets worst if you have a perfect town. By then practically no one will leave. ((Happening to me right now))

Good to know! I'll start making my town look crappier and maybe Rooney will get the hell out

Ah, I had no idea that that would factor into whether or not my villagers would want to leave. Thanks for the information! Guess I'll hold off on improving citizen satisfaction until I've kicked out the ones I want to kick out, haha.

I think if you hit them repeatedly with your net/axe it will make them move out quicker. Ignoring them speeds up the process too. Maybe you should head over to the villager exchange thread to see if anyone wants to swap a villager or 2 with you.

Just do your best to friend them so they will move. Villagers always move away, I've had to stop 4 animals from trying to move so far!

Yea just don't have this in your town and you should not have a perfect town.

Trees, Palm Trees and Fruit Trees: Between 110 and 200 total.
Flowers: Have at least 75 flowers planted throughout your town.
Public Works: At least 10 Public Works are needed. Dream Suite, and Fortune-Teller don't count. Museum, Town Hall and Station Upgrades don't count.
Weeds: No more than 10.
Items on ground: No more than 10. This includes Fruit and Lost Items.
Trash: None on ground, none buried.
