I joined Animal Crossing New Horizons, will there be free updates? I know ACNH 2.0

I didn't get into the ACNH 2.0 update in time and I have a lot to design and layout. Will there be new updates and additions in the future?

No. It’s the last update for New Horizons, I’m sorry to say.

Nope! As @Croconaw says, there are no remaining updates! Nintendo has clarified that this is not just free updates but includes paid DLC (downloadable content) — Happy Home Paradise was the first and last one!

I said this in a similar thread so I'll say again here. There is no new update coming anytime soon. Nintendo made it crystal clear that there would be no more "major" updates after the 2.0 update came out. They said this since last year in November 2021. In a IGN article they did clarify that they will still support the game with "small" changes and updates, but they go on to say that they have "no plans" for another major update.

Don't worry about not getting the 2.0 update on time. If you don't have it already, its free and you can get it whenever you want.
