I just unlocked terraforming! But...

The sudden realization that I now have to relocate most buildings in order to efficiently terraform has kicked in. There goes all my hard-earned Bells, lol.

I'm unlocking it tomorrow and I already know I will have to move every single building around, so I'm dreading it. But honestly that's just what the game is going to be about for me, and I'm fine with that: grind bells to relocate stuff, just like I did in NL for PWPs or expensive Gracie sets.

Do you have to move the building because they're in the way or some other reason?

It kind of peeves me the way you’re forced to spend hundreds of thousands of bells building bridges and inclines in order to unlock terraforming, only to demolish them once you get it. >.<

Same boat. I’m just taking it one day at a time though cause I still haven’t planned out my island entirely. Thinking about making a rough plan using the map designer thing first. I’m scared of completely ruining my map if I proceed without a plan. I have half my dreamies. I don’t want to have to reset.

I've figured that if I keep my current villagers, between all my facilities and villagers it will cost me about 1.5 million Bells to relocate everything, and this doesn't even include bridges and inclines...

I've got 4 million, but I was planning on using that for house upgrades l0l.

idk if u meant this specifically at the op, but most of the time it's not that building may be in the way (though that certainly does happen, like 2 villagers are in a spot i want to expand a cliff to) but that the building is in a bad spot.

idk if anyone else experienced this, but when i was placing my buildings after my first 2 villagers i managed to place them in spots that decently close to where i wanted to place them when i started actually terraforming and building up my island. but they aren't in the exact locations i wanted so now i have to go through and move all of them, which is tedious because it takes a whole day!!

im focusing on moving my shops first because i don't think i'll touch their locations even if i want to redo my whole island, but im gonna die once i start trying to fix my villagers' spots. i regret everything, i rly do

My house expansion saving funds have been going super well until I unlocked terraforming last weekend. I've only just managed to repay the 3rd room of my house today because I've been focusing so much on relocating houses and building inclines/bridges... :'>
