People complain all the time about people not having their gate open.

I had my gate open for 3 hours tonight, and nobody came. Whenever I don't have any special things going on in my town (red turnip growths, shovel burials, etc...) I open my gate. Yet nobody ever comes.

Do you open your gate when you're just playing? Or do you wait until you meet up with someone on here, THEN open it?

You're going to laugh, but I'm 19 and I go to college.

I usually play at night, from 3-8.

Meh a few people tend to come over when I randomly open my gate... though when I look for someones gate to be open! no one is ever on... >.>

But if I am working on my town, which is a lot recently, I don't open my gate at all...


Edit: I am 18 and this is my senior year at High School... the times I get on are varied so yeah.... most likely in the afternoon/evening...

Well, my gate is pretty much always open (not right now, I'm in bed..).

I don't understand why nobody really opens their gates. (I have Katie in my town and she is DRIVING ME CRAZY!)

I understand that if you're working on your town, you don't want anyone to mess it up. I've had that happen. =/

I'm working on a getting a perfect town for the gold watering can. I used to play and open my gate just whenever, but now I don't want people accidentally running through my flowers or taking my hybrids. Only 9 more days to go!

to be honest i never open my gates when im not expecting company, although one thing i wish it did have is when somebody opens theirs you get a message saying so a corner of the screen or something, like it does on xbox live, seems a little time consuming and tedious having to go and talk to copper just to see if someone's on with no guaranty of anyone actually online

I never open my gate only when its arranged I prefer to go to other peoples towns.

I usually plan on going to someone else's town beforehand. But I also go randomly, so I dunno. I almost have a full roster, and I see like 1-2 Towns Open when I search randomly.
