I need help making a tropical paradise

Ok...so I am trying to make a tropical themed island but I need help. Here's what I need:

-Advice thinking of names for 2 characters
-House themes for three characters
-Advice for decorating the island
-Advice for making a beach-house themed house.

one piece of advice o can give that I've seen others do is, when you get the ability to terraform, put patches of sand where you would like to put a palm tree. palm trees cant grow on grass but if you put them on a sand tile they can grow anywhere! i think that would be perfect for a true tropical island

If you haven't, speak to Sable every day to unlock patters for customization, she has a few like pineapples. Some of the seasonal recipes for summer are also pretty good, especially the beach-themed floor and wallpaper.

For villagers I would definitely recommend June and Audie.

to round you out on types - I haven’t had them but looks like annalise, Bud (omg, love his house exterior!), and Plucky. Cranky, honestly, idk. Rasher is the closest. He has a tropical shirt and the outside of his house is a glorious orange with the ‘hut’ style roof...but the inside is a gross parking lot (why?)

in terms of house themes you could have one ‘underwater’/ beach themed with like the ocean floors and sandy floors. And one eclectic tropical beach house themed - the flower patterned wood floor bright colors, floral and tropical prints/ items. Then maybe one contemporary/ minimalist beach house - washed out colors, pale seashells, the log furniture can look pretty ‘driftwood’-y with the right patterns around it. - alternatively, you could make a sea witch character?

obviously it is up to you so the look you like the best is most important - same with villagers - but just some ideas.

Spike - he looks like a pirate to me

Definitely use the bamboo fencing and if you make stalls and do what Manah said, talk to sable everyday to unlock those prints. Then you can make like a tiki bar area in your beach with the pineapple print and a stall! Also waterfalls would be really good, and the red and yellow bushes that have the hibiscus flowers! Also when I think of tropical I think of colorful so you could add lots of flowers everywhere. And when you place your villagers you could make a whole little village with the houses near each other so it’s like a village in the middle of a jungle

ok anyone know how to convince my brother to let me make our island tropical themed? because im sure he wont let me... also i need bridges and inclines that fit on a tropical island

For bridges I think the suspension bridge would work great. For inclines I like the natural incline or the log staircase but depending on how you interpret your theme I think the plank ramps could also work well.

in terms of your brother, could you maybe negotiate to start by designing one part of your island to be tropical themed? Perhaps this would show him how nice this theme can look, or if nothing else, at least you have a lovely tropical area. Is there a particular style he prefers, or does he not want to do the tropical theme for another reason?

Well I think we each have very specific ideas on how we want the island to look. And also, he only wants the island to have all rhinos, two hippos, and one octopus.
