I need help with a cycling question. any pro cycle's?

Ok i bought a second AC because i really wanted a soft copy. I want to move all my villagers to my new town. How can i keep them from moving in a bad spot? Iv heard of making new characters and ending and the house moves but will the villager change too? How can i move a villager i want to keep? Is it possible?

If it's a randomly generated villager (like you have less than 9 villagers and the game automatically generates a villager to move in), then yes the villager will change.

But if you've gone to another town, asked a villager there to move in and you know they're gonna move in the next day, the villager will NOT change when you do the new character trick, only the location of their house.
