I saw a related thread and I thought... What about a Fallout themed town?

Just planting trees with perfect fruit and letting them die, running around like crazy so there'd be no grass, plant flowers and let them wither down, choosing all rustic or old looking things as PWPs, choosing any ordinance except for keep beautiful. Idk I had the idea a while back (and thought it'd be fairly easy, except for the grass part) but never got to it because I didn't buy a third copy of ACNL. (All these videogames lol)

Maybe I will do it for ACNH. What else do you think could work to make a Fallout themed town?

For your mayor's house, perhaps you could make most of it a creepy abandoned building. Since that would be a natural thing in a nuclear wasteland. Then in your basement, you can include room that is based on a vault. There is a lot of futuristic furniture, so you have a lot of possibilities. If you had multiple houses, perhaps you could include multiple vaults, then write lore for why they have ended up the way they are.

For villagers, that seems fairly difficult. One that immediately comes to mind is Al the gorilla who looks like he could pass as a mutant. For everyone else, you could look for house exteriors that look abandoned. This site is a great resource for easily knowing what all the different villager home exteriors look like.

I once visited a fallout themed town on a dream. I don't remember the name nor the address. If I ever find it, I'll tell you.

Ok, after an ETERNITY of searching, I think I was able to get it. The town is called Cornhole, and the dream dress is 5A00-006D-5200. I'm not sure if it's that one. I even remember watching a youtube video of a girl visiting that town, but as always, I forget. :(

Omg nvm forget that one, I actually found the town I was looking for. It's name is Promise, it's dream address is: 5700-5943-2478. As you may have noticed, it's one of the old addresses, so you won't be able to visit it. However, I'll link a video and the Tumblr page of this town.

As you can see in the video, the town is probably hacked, as trees are placed where they cannot be, and there are weeds everywhere, in the exact spots they want them to be. The mayor's house has some sloppy furniture, and some old and abandoned walls and rugs. There is another house, in this case a tent, of a nurse that says "I've been here so long". Inside her tent you can see she has an emergency set up, with some hospital furniture. The mayor says "It'll all be over soon". You can place some PWPs like the bus stop and the streetlight, to give it an abandoned look.

For the season/weather, you definitely have to choose either fall or winter, as they are the cloudiest, coldest seasons, and the only ones able to convey that despair and loneliness you're looking for on these towns. The weather has to be overcast, preferably at night/afternoon, and rain if possible. As I said before, you have to be able to convey that despair and loneliness feeling, as well as some melancholy. I loved Promise. The melancholy it conveys is very heart-warming to the point I started crying about the comments the nurse and the mayor said. Those people are really suffering.
