I think I have had enough with my paths

So I made these really nice paths with fruit trees and bushes all around them connecting throughout my whole town but I TT a lot so I can get my deam villagers and every time someone moves in they move in the worst spot possible for my path designs and destroy everything and it makes it look dumb. I dont get how mayors can't decide where villagers move.

I hate the whole villager random move in but I also hate how you can get streetpass villagers e.e
I try to keep my town full so it's safe for me lol.

I know!! Why not just gather your complete dream villagers and set up paths after everyone is settled in.

I had 5 move ins after I set up my paths and I'm lucky that they only moved where the last one moved out or they move in an open space with little adjustments.

What's the reset trick?

When you expect a move in on a new day (adjust the 3ds date forward), make a new character and survey your town. If you don't like the placement of the plot, just press home and quit and re-do until you find the perfect spot.

Although there have been reports of people experiencing data save crashes when they press home and quit the game without doing
the proper save and quit option.

Well when I first did my paths I honestly didn't care about getting dream villagers. I might as well just keep my path and let it get destroyed tell I get all my dreamies

Set your town to 5:57 AM on the next day that you are expecting someone to lay their house plot. Quickly save and exit the game. Wait 5 minutes then make a new character. You can now go survey where the plot for their house is. If it's in a poor place, exit the game and make a new character again. Figure out where the house is this time.

Repeat until it's in a favorable location. Once it is go to isabelle, then nook, then place your tent anywhere, then go to isabelle again. Now you can save and exit.

Demolish your new characters house and enter the game with anyone.

Whatever floats your boat, was just saying in this fashion you could choose where the villager lives.
