I took a trip down memory lane and loaded my WW town. My heart aches.

Already the starting screen made me nostalgic, and I smiled when I saw Olivia walking around with her fishing rod.
As soon as I loaded Crystal, laughed at my character's tiny body and Mr Resetti yelled at me for 10 minutes (guess I forgot to save last time I played), I read my mail....
Only read one...
From Chief... he moved out. It had to be him. One of my AC BFF trio (Chief, Olivia, Genji).
I was so sad, I didn't expect to care but I did. I'll never have his REAL cranky personality ever again.
To feel better I ran to Genji's house.
That was nice. I then found Olivia and talked to her too.
27 months they told me... Since they lasted talked to me.
Don't care much about my others anymore, but man, my BFF trio, they're so precious to me.
That was so nostalgic and weird,
I don't know if I should have done it.
The feelings really took me by surprise, I was just going out of curiosity.

Do you load you old AC games sometimes?
How does it make you feel?

Also I forgot, that sound when you save the game.
I miss that so much.

I haven't been on it for about a year D:
I miss the old snooty personalities so much! They used to be so mean, but I kinda liked it that way. I hope Portia is still in my WW town. I definitely miss the music from that game aswell.

Same.
Olivia and Chief were just plain MEAN to me in WW, but I loved them to death.
And Genji was so self centered, but I loved him too.
I still love all 3 but man I miss the old snooties and crankies.

double post because crappy internet sorry.

I loaded my old WW save a few months ago and I had a similar experience. Hearing my villagers say how many months I'd been gone (Pretty sure it was about 40 or so) really was heartbreaking. I explored my house and found Cube's picture and I couldn't even remember getting it! Fortunately he is in my NL town now and one of my favorites, so I can experience the joy of Cube all over again. I didn't read any of the mail, but I imagine it'd be pretty hard seeing all of the villagers who left that I used to treasure. I've gotten over it by adopting the mindset that when a new game comes out all the animals move on as well and instead of being deserted, they simply go to different towns where I may see them again. While this is of course just fiction inside my head, it makes me feel a little bit better about it all. I haven't visited my GC Animal Crossing town in years, and I imagine it'd be even harder going back there, though my heart was already broken by that game many times when my favorite villagers moved out: Cookie, Sydney, Tad, and Puddles.

I wonder what will happen when I inevitably move on from NL. It'd be great to be able to "import" villagers from previous towns into new ones, though perhaps against what AC is about.

I like to listen to the ACWW in-game music soundtrack on YouTube, it brings back a lot of fond memories! I much prefer the WW music to the NL music, especially '1am'. The game itself doesn't hold as much for me any more as my eldest daughter took it upon herself to become the Mayor a couple of years ago, and everyone and everything I once loved was slowly ruined :p but she enjoys playing it still, and I have NL, so we're both happy.

I haven't loaded up WW for a few years actually. It wasn't until I got New Leaf that I was able to enjoy the series again, since I'd done most of the things and kept restarting in the other ones... Maybe I'll start it up again at some point.
