I wish the room sketch app had gone a bit further

I wish room sketch auto builds could apply on your island. I made a room I'm very happy with, but to build it on my top floor I'd have to recreate it in my house. I understand about not wanting to give free items and stuff, but why not just give a message that says which furniture and in what quantity is in the room sketch build, so you can keep track of what to buy? Room sketch is so convenient but to build anything from it is limited to HHP unless you do it manually...

Funnily enough, I haven't used it yet. I think the only reason I'd use it, is to build out room ideas exclusively for my home than HHP homes despite what you said it doesn't translate for the main island at all.

Another idea could be it does transfer over but you'd have to pay the bill of the items wanted/missing? It's a pricey alternative but could've worked.

I would take even this over nothing at all. I'm currently trying to gather everything that I need because I really want to recreate this build. I'm glad that the HHP catalog lets us double the number of items we can order in a day, but it's still so inconvenient.

I have used it twice, both times on my house. It makes deocrating so much easier. I can try every wallpaper, floor and furniture item in my catalog, find what I like and only have to buy those items. I don't mind that you can't transfer it straight to your house(I think this might be because you can use items in the app that you dont have in your catalog and therefore can't use them in your house). I am redoing my front room first and will be using the app for that too). I will probably also use it for redecorating my villager houses when I get around to that.

I only used it to unlock the wallpaper and flooring. I don't think I'll revisit it again.

When I checked out the room sketch app I thought it was tacky, I don't really care about planning out my clients room's with an app, the way i do interior design is I don't even think about it, i just zone out and do it, and when it's finished I'm always satisfied with how it came out, I'm glad I don't fuss over how it's gonna look I just decorate.
I use Harv's island to plan out ideas for my future home(the size of the rooms kind of ruins it though...) when I opened up the room sketch app I was like "Ooh I bet I can use this instead of Harv's island" *Fidgets with it for a minute* "Nah this is worthless" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I know! I do the same! I just let my creativity flow and have fun with it! Not that its bad that others like to put lots and lots of thought and effort into it! We all play differently and all of us can have fun doing our designs our way! Thats the magic of the Animal Crossing games

THAT IS WAY TO TRUE TOO. I LOVED harveys island but when I realized early on when I first unlocked it SO long ago I was like, WHY DOES HARVEY HAVE BIGGER ROOMS AND JUST LIKE NEW LEAF AND WE CANNOT... TOM NOOK I HAVE 40+ MILLION IN MY BANK PLEASEEEEEEEE

I know! Like why couldn't we save more than one build? Or at least resize the rooms at Harv's? I just feel like the sketch app had so much potential only for it to be wasted on just HHP...

Ugh, I knowww. The most fun I've had in this game has been decorating my villagers' homes on my main island. I absolutely love being able to tinker with every tiny little detail until it's exactly how I want. The interface is so convenient! I often go back and redo their homes in a completely new direction because it's so fun to try out different concepts! It's hands-down the best part of this game for me.

That's why I'm so disappointed in the decorating interface for our own homes. The room sketch had so much potential!! I wish they would let us change where the doors and windows are, that way it can be more accurate to the rooms in your home so we could see EXACTLY how things would look placed. What if we could order the items from the room sketch IF we already had them in our catalog? Often I'm like oh this look great! Oh but I don't have the items I need. Oops there's a 5 item limit.... Okay, let's wait a day for those 5 items to arrive. Oh, they're finally here! Hmm, it looks off, let's try another color. Crap, I need to fly to Harv's to customize. Okay, that's finally done. Let's go back and test it out. Oh no, I prefer the other color better! Ugh, better go back to Cyrus for rounds of unnecessary dialog and animation. Rinse and repeat everyday for the 5 item limit. -______________- I feel like Sisyphus pushing that boulder up a hill for eternity!!!!!!!!!
