Last time on the Idea Blog, I talked about biomes and how they differ from towns. If we have a map editor feature and a biome featuee, towns would be more diverse from others than ever. It's like the towns in the GameCube version are prehistoric canines as towns in the next game are the many breeds of dogs and whales.
Today, I will talk about the idea where you can talk to your other human characters when you have one active. For example, let's say I create a character named John. He is my mayor. I create Bob, Tom, and Jack as my alternative human characters. In AC history, you can have only one human character active at a time. And your other human characters are sleeping. How about we make them active as NPCs. So when I have John active, I should be able to talk to Bob, Tom, and Jack like I talk to the other villagers. If I were to use one of my alts, I should be able to talk to my other two alts and my mayor with the alt I'm using.
There are a few differences between human villagers and animal villagers. One difference between human villagers and animal villagers is that human houses can be accessed regardless of if they are in or out. If they are inside, they will follow you if you step into another room. Another difference is that mailing to them doesn't make them reply to you. If you want them to reply, you have to use the other human characters to reply. Here are the other differences (but aren't limited to these).
But here are some things that these villagers have in common with animal villagers. One of them is that they can be annoyed by you being violent on them or accepting then refusing their favors. They can also talk about nicknames, greetings, and catchphrases. And if you talk to them, they may say the exact same things other animals of the same personality do. What else can they do? They can participate like the other animals such as sitting on benches, touring the museum, and even showing up in other animal homes. There's more, but I can't name them all.
If your mayor character is not in use, here are a few things that would happen if you're playing the game:
Regardless of personality, the mayor will never abuse his/her power, but human villagers can have different personalities too. The eye shapes determine what personality they are when they are NPCs. The eyes for the lazy human villagers are the same (or almost the same) for the normal human villagers. The smug eyes are similar to the uchi eyes. The jock eyes are similar to the peppy eyes. The cranky eyes are similar to the snooty eyes.
In order to understand which eyes go to which personality, I will use the answer codes from New Leaf to talk about what eyes I'm referring to:
The last thing I would talk about is how the human villagers will trade. Each character has a box that can hold up to 60 items. Every time when a human villager gives you a furniture request, collect items they ask for, or even pick up gifts from other animals, the items show up in their box. Just like the island pick-up basket, once an item is removed from the box, it can never be placed back. The items humans give you are randomly generated from their catalogs, even if they are rare items like the snowman items or mush series, so if their catalogs are exclusively filled with these items and nothing else, you will get nothing but rare items from them, even if you don't have a good Feng Shui.
That is all I can say here. Maybe in the next few idea blogs, I should think about what items and options I would like to see in the next game.

- They don't ask for chores that search for furniture or seek petitions.
- They are active at any time of the day like Isabelle, Brewster, and Copper as long as one of your human characters are active.
- You can talk to them unlimited times, unlike animals where they stop wanting to talk to you after talking to them several times.
- They don't suggest PWPs.
- They don't move out.
- Just like in previous games, the human characters can remodel and update their houses under your control. They just act like animal villagers.

If your mayor character is not in use, here are a few things that would happen if you're playing the game:
- In the events Isabelle shows up at the plaza, she will only appear if you're using the mayor. Use anyone else, and the mayor will replace Isabelle as Town Hall will be open.
- At the same time, the mayor can also show up in front of town hall on the event Isabelle isn't at the plaza. He/she can give you some gifts.
- Every Saturday and Sunday, if there's no event going on, the mayor will be available to talk to like animal villagers.
- Every Monday through Friday, if there's no event going on, the mayor will never be seen outside Town Hall and is behind the front desk. So if you want to see your mayor on these days, your mayor has to be the character in use.
- Sometimes, the mayor will even talk about his/her work.
- The mayor would never ask for your items or sell you items, but he/she can still ask for favors.
