If I downloaded from a different switch

This might be a dumb question, but I'm not great with technology

I got a switch lite to replace my old one, but turns out it was only the game card, because now its glitching on my lite, and now its fine on my switch

I dont want it to glitch anymore, so I'd like to download it on my switch, but would my island change? It's under the same account, but different switches?

Would the current island change? Or would it still be the current island?

Perhaps you figured it out already, but if you buy the game from the online Nintendo store, and you install it on your old Switch, you will still keep your original island. If you install it on your new Switch, you'll have a new island.

If you want your original island on your new Switch, it is possible to transfer it, but you can only have it on one Switch.

Ok, I didn't realise you had islands on both Switches!

Regardless of whether you use your game card or download the game, the same island that is on each Switch currently will remain on that Switch. This is because the saved data is saved to each individual Switch system. Hope that makes sense!
