If we could get sea critter models...

How would that work? What NPC would we be dealing with? Would it make the models or send the critters to Flick like CJ does? What is the hypothetical character's story?

For the sake of simplicity, I would probably just have Flick make the models of sea critters as well.

Otherwise, I guess it would be kind of funny if it was something like an Eel inside of a diving suit or something. Like...a creature with no arms and legs...but they are inside one of those old-timey dive-suits, pretending to have arms and legs. But the glass part of the helmet can be seen full of water...because they are clearly an eel in a diving suit, and they need water. Maybe an electric eel who lets off an excited little zap when you give them creatures.

I agree with the above comments I think Flick would be the one to make the models I kind of wouldn't mind a model of that massive crab haha.

The spider crab can you imagen that massive crab as a model I would just decorate my beach area with a army of them all hahahaha

CJ doesn't even make the fish models, he sends them off to Flick to make

Pascal started to feel artsy and accepts the sea creatures you give him for inspiration while he models them with his own spin. The models will look different enough to know it wasn't Flick who created them, but you can still tell what creature it is based off of.

I wish this was a thing! So many of the undersea critters would be so cool to have as decor. I would loved that when I did my tropical jungle island. I did utilize the seaweed and the spider crab since they display as what they are instead of tanks. It would be so fun to have some of the little shrimps and clams and things around.

It’s kinda weird that they don’t have that as a thing since the bugs and fish models are a thing.

I think Flick would make them since he makes the other models. Maybe you can request them from either Flick or CJ. I’m still surprised they never made it so you could get sea creature models. There are so many I would love a model of.

I'd like to see Pascal make them; he was my first thought! I don't know why he'd want those sea critters though. Maybe he just wants to make new sea friends.

I would love to see sea creature models. So many of them would look really nice. I'm not that phased by the fish or bug models, but I'd definitely try for a full set of sea creatures. I especially like the anemone, sea cucumber, sea star, moon jellyfish, and pearl oyster!

It is surprising that this wasn’t added in to 2.0, but since it wasn’t, it’s obviously not happening. I agree that CJ makes more sense than Flick

For the person you talk to yes.
But ultimately, flick is the one who makes all the models, including the fish ones.
CJ just asks him to.

It is kind of weird that they decided not to introduce deep sea creatures into the model list. Feels like an oversight. I would assume if they bothered, Pascal would be the one to do it. Something like if you have 3 of a sea creature type, catch a scallop (to prompt him) he'd offer that in exchange for the scallop. Maybe he'd play the middle man and just send it to Flick as well.

Cyrus used to customize the complete fossil sets into mini figurines. I don't believe those are back either. It's not a feature because they did cut corners a lot with NH. It's a great game, but overall feels empty in a lot of ways if you don't solely focus on designing and terraforming.

Considering cj sorts the fish items out, i think it would be down to him but what would be cool is if they somehow included pascal to accept the 3 creatures to give to flick

Maybe we could have a new NPC who has a thing for glass and is looking for new inspiration to make things out of glass. Maybe they sell some neat glass stuff already as a traveler, but if you have a sea creature in your bag, they see it and get excited and must have it so they can make a glass piece of it.
I mean I do like the bug and fish models, even though the fish ones are a little boring compared to the bug, but I don't really want the sea creatures to end up looking like the fish and bugs honestly. Earlier I figured they could just have Pascal get artsy and make sculptures with his own spin, but glass for sea stuff makes alot of sense and I don't think Pascal would be into heating up some glass.

Pascal would work well but I had a brain fart and mixed his name up with Wendell. If they had bought Wendell back, maybe he could have done this, he already has history making art with his patterns and stuff.
